Linear Systems and Applications: A Hands-On Python Workshop

Abstract: This 3-day introductory workshop focuses on the basics of Python programming with an introduction to numerical methods for solving linear systems and their applications. This workshop is designed to provide and encourage individuals with no coding experience an opportunity to learn hands-on skills in coding and basic scientific computing.

CSRC Strategic Planning and Workshop

Date: March 5-7, 2024

Venue: Kabayan Beach Resort, Laiya, San Juan, Batangas

Summary of the Event:

The CSRC Strategic Planning and Workshop, held from March 5-7, 2024, at the Kabayan Beach Resort in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas, brought together key members of the CSRC Family, including the current director, previous director, administrative staff, and ICT staff. For three days, participants engaged in intensive collaboration and strategic discussions aimed at shaping the future direction of CSRC’s initiatives and infrastructure. Attendees delved into critical topics, including strategic planning for the PhD Data Science program, upgrading High-Performance Computing (HPC) facilities, enhancing wireless connectivity within the National Science Complex, and seamless management of CS institutes’ websites.
