The College of Science Graduate Office will send the decision on your applications. Please wait for the emails, but we will release them before the end of this week.
 

As we received hundreds of applications, please refer to the information below for an explanation of the action on the applications (pending and provisional admission).

Applicants who have satisfied the minimum academic background but were unable to take the validation exam will be given the opportunity to complete their application within this year and may be considered for acceptance in the 2nd semester of AY 2025-2026, provided they pass the validation exam. We will arrange the exam schedules in UP Cebu, so please wait for that.

Applicants who satisfied the minimum academic background and took the validation exam, but failed in one or more topics, have been given provisional admission. Some are required only to take courses as a refresher, and can take them while enrolled as a PhD DS student. Others are required to take and pass the undergraduate-level courses before they can be formally admitted into the program. Applicants can take Math 21, CS 11, and Stat 101 in UPD or equivalent courses in any UP constituent university as a non-degree student first.
